Review & Giveaway: Give Me Something by Elizabeth Lee

WARNING: Some GIFs could be spoilery, so read at your own risk! :D

Here's the deal... I learned a long time ago that sometimes you have to use what you've got to make things happen. What I happen to have is a pretty smile, long legs and the ability to make men believe anything I say. Before you get on your high horse and start judging me, can you honestly say you've never batted your lashes at some guy for a free drink at the bar? That's what I thought.

Keep that in mind as I tell you my story of how I took it one step further. My story of lies, deceit, manipulation and love. Yeah, love. Believe me, it fits. Especially, when you factor in Nick and Tucker – one had my heart and the other one wanted it all for himself. Which one? Well, I can't tell you that. It would defeat the purpose of the story. If I'm going to fill you in about me, Lila Garrison, and my life as a con artist you're going to need to know all the facts, including the ones about the two guys who made me want to give up the life of fancy clothes, expensive jewelry, fast cars and easy money. Because sometimes, one person can give you something that's more valuable than all of that.

If you're still interested, stick around. Just remember, I'm pretty good at convincing people to do what I want, so if by the end of this whole thing you feel worked over, don't say I didn't warn you.

Lila Garrison grew up on the poor side of town where she constantly was dreaming of a better life, becoming increasingly resentful of her parents who thought love was more important than money. At 15, she meets Nick and the two quickly hit it off. They decided to leave town and never look back. They began scamming from the rich as they fell into a coupling that had Nick doing the recon and Lila executing the con.

Trickster, bamboozler, grifter. There were a lot of names for what I did, but only one that everyone seemed to know - con artist.

It's been two years since Lila's run a con on anyone. She's quietly going to school at a small private college when Nick shows up, desperate for her to run one last con. Lila just can't seem to say no to Nick Dannery, and he knows it. She's been in love with him for years, and he uses that to get what he wants. With Nick's promises that they'll be together after this job, Lila reluctantly agrees.

The only thing I wanted more than wealth was Nick.

That night Nick introduces Lila to the new mark, Tucker Kline, Nick's roommate & the son of a wealthy businessman who recently passed away. Tucker's inherited an insane amount of money, and Nick wants Lila to con some out of him. The Plan: Lila will get Tucker to fall for her & then she'll con money out of him. Sounds easy, right?

Nick would have Lila, and us, believe that Tucker's the bad boy, the womanizer, the jerk who doesn't deserve his money. Unfortunately for Nick, Lila meets a different version of Tucker, the real Tucker Kline- the good guy who's funny, sweet, charming, and has ridiculously cheesy pick-up lines. He's simply irresistible.

Lila soon finds herself falling for Tucker, and feeling increasingly guilty for running this con. The lines are suddenly blurred, and Lila's left wondering which love is real, and which is fake?

This book was

I enjoyed the crap out of this book! The whole thing was so unexpected that I truly had NO idea what was going to happen every time I turned the page. What I thought was going to happen didn't & vice versa. Elizabeth does an AMAZING job keeping the reader on her toes. There was one point in this book that I thought I was the one being conned. My mind BLEW!

She also knows how to write one fine book boyfriend. Tucker's & Lila's chemistry was SCORCHING!I was rooting for them throughout the whole story. It was so obvious that they were perfect for eachother, and I loved watching them falling into such a seemingly easy relationship that had lots of good steamy lovin'.

Lila- I loved Lila! She was a kick ass heroine who had me cheering for her. She's the type of character could be easily unlikable, but the way she's portrayed makes you wanna be her best friend. Her motivations are understandable, but you just want to shake her everytime she falls for one of Nick's manipulative lines! In the end, I was so happy she found her backbone and finally stood up for what she believed in. Her character growth & development from the beginning to end was enjoyable to read.

Nick- What an ASS!! Seriously! That being said, I think Nick really did love Lila in his own way. He was just too blinded by his greed that he lost sight of his feelings. Things happened in Nick's childhood that made his obsession for money understandable, and you almost just have to feel sorry for him. But there were also plenty of moments that Nick brought out the anger in me.

Tucker- What can I even say about Tucker Kline other than HE'S MINE! BACK OFF, LADIES!! Seriously, he's going on the top shelf of the book boyfriend list. It's not often that girls go for the good guy which is why I bow down to Elizabeth Lee. Everything about Tucker is swoon worthy. Cheesy pickup lines included!

Brynn- This is all I have to say to you.

Overall, I loved this book & its characters, even Nick. I definitely recommend it if you haven't read it!
